Europe Trip: 11st Stop - Brighton, UK

So, here comes to the last stop of my Europe Trip, which is Brighton. Brighton is 1 of the small located at the southern part of UK. At 1st, my plan was going to Salisbury to take look at the Stonehenge. But according to my aunt, it is quite far away from Salisbury town and nothing much over there, but for Brighton, there are a lot of places for SHOPPING!! Yeap, she love shopping very much.

It took about 1 hour plus to reach Brighton from Walton-on-Thames. Once I reach Brighton, I saw a lot of people heading to the same direction. I din prepare much for Brighton's tour, so I just follow the crowds. That day was quite cooling and windy. My hair was super messy, because the wind keep blowing and blowing, but it was refreshing. =)

Brighton's beach is special is also because of the "sand" along the beach. Along the beach, you can see lots of nice, small and smooth stones. Yea, those are the "Sands". Along the beach, you also can see lots of seagull flying here and there or rest in groups, interesting! I did not spend much time in Brighton, just spent few hours shopping and walk around. After that, I headed back to London.

Some nice pictures that I took in Brighton

My lunch in Brighton, wink*

At 1st, I wanted to go to visit the Buckingham Palace, but after that I chose to go for shopping instead of going to Buckingham Palace, hehe. You cant blame me la, London's shopping area closes at around 7 or 8PM. This is the week that the summer sales in London started, how can I miss it? So, I went to Picadilly Circus again. You can see most of the shops also have 50% discount or more, woah!!!!! Grab ar!!!!! At the end of the day, I bought myself a few cloths, a vest, a wallet and a pair of ZARA shoe,hehe...

The next day, I woke up quite early in the morning, because I need to take a bus to the London Airport. Yep, I'm going back that day, sob sob... Don feel like going back. Guess what, I brought 2 luggages for the Europe trip, but I brought back 4 luggages when I am going back to Singapore from London! The extra 2 bags was full of souvenirs, my aunt's stuffs, bla bla bla...so heavy... But luckily, I am STRONG enough, hehe...

On the way back

Yep, thats the end for my Europe Trip. -AH!!!! I miss my Europe Trip very very much!!!-

Europe Trip: 10th stop - London, UK (Part 2)

After visitted Phan Shean in Newcastle, I took the same bus back to London (no choice, bought the ticket d). This time, the bus was better, I can really FEEL the air cond along the way. I purposely came back on Monday, so that I can go out with my aunt again the next day, cause my aunt's off day is on Tuesday.

I met my aunt the next day in the city area. This time we purposely went out earlier because occording to her, that day we will shop like crazy, hehe. We went to quite a lot of places, but I don really remember where is it except Picadilly Circus. What I remember is, we just keep shopping and buying stuffs, hehe. She bought some goods for my relatives such as sport shoe, watch, shirt, bla bla bla... Of course, she also bought me a shirt and a pair of shoe. Haha, you will not wnat to know the price of that shoe, cause it's damn ex!!! But never mind, not my money... *wink*. That day we went back to my uncle place kinda late, super tired!!

Our lunch + Tea time

The next day, I continue my journey according the the "London original walk" that I had downloaded from the internet. That day, I visitted a navvy museum, both London and Tower bridge and St Katherine Dock. Among all this places, I love Tower Bridge and St Katherine Dock the most. I like the history behind this 2 "building". And of course, what I like the most is their out look. It's really impressed me. That day I went back to my uncle's place slightly earlier, maybe tired of walking and travelling?? =p

Took these pictures at the Tower Bridge

Europe Trip: 9th stop - Newcastle, UK

After spending 3 days in London, I took a bus that I had booked earlier and head up to Newcastle to meet with a secondary school's classmate - Phan Shean, a friend who are going to graduate from 1 of the university in Newcastle. The bus was the lousiest bus ever, althought it is super duper cheap. To and fro from London cost me only 14 pounds. The bus was even lousier that the bus that we took from Singapore to KL. I couldn't feel the air cond along the journey! As you know, the sun set in UK is at about 10PM. So, along the way, you can feel the sun and at the same time you couldn't feel the air cond, can you imagine how HOT is it? WTH!!!

So, this is Phan Shean

It took me about 7 hours to reach Newcastle. I reached there at about 10 something in the evening. Phan Shean picked me up from the bus station and head back to his house. His room was kinda neat and nice. We spent the whole night chit chatting and watching movies.

The next day was a rainy day, SIEN! We only got to go out for a while to look at the Newcastle city area, a castle and a art gallery. The art gallery was awesome. Everything was so artistic. After that, I suggested to go home, because it's kinda sien to travel under the rain and that day was so cold, it had reached 10 degree celcius, yes, its 10 degree celcius in SUMMER! Super duper cold, I rather online or sleep at home. After we reach home for a while, it started to rain heavily, phew...luckily we reached home. Phan Shean said that, in Europe, its hard to see thunder and it seldom rain heavily, and guess what he said? He said that I brought bad luck to Newcastle. WTH, =.=" That evening, we "tapao" fish and chips in 1 of the restaurant nearby for our dinner. The portion was damn big!! I couldn't even finish it!! Phan Shean said that he always divide it into 2 meals...

Some pictures that I took during the 1st day in Newcastle

The next day was drizzling, but I insisted that I wan to go out NO MATTER what, evil hor, hehe. I went to Alnwick Castle, which is the castle where the movie "Harry Potter" was shooting. It needs about 1 and a half hour bus ride from Newcastle's city area. Guess what, Phan Shean himself also din go that castle before although he had stayed in Newcastle for 4 years. =.=" Luckily it doesn't rain any more when we were about to reach, wee!!! The castle was AWESOME. The scenery is really really nice. We took a lot of pictures while we are in the castle.

Some pictures that I took in Alnwick Castle

I left Newcastle the next morning and head back to London. Luckily the bus this time was much better, I can really feel the air cond. Haha, although I din do much things or travel alot in Newcastle, but I don enjoy the weather there and the time that I spent with my ex class mate. =)

Europ Trip: 8th stop - London, UK

Woohoo.....so, next stop is LONDON!!!

If I didn't remember wrongly, I reached London at about 6 something in the evening. The sky are still bright. I was deciding whether I should take the train from Stansted Airport to Walton-on-Thames, which is the place that my uncle staying or taking a bus to Victoria Station. But when you look at their train map, you will have a lot of stars coming out from your head, because they has "too-many-line" in London and around London: underground, bakerloo line, picadilly line, bla bla bla... So, I chose to take a direct bus from Stansted Airport to Victoria station, then only I take train to Walton-on Thames. I reached my uncle's place at around 10 something in the evening, wth!! But, the sky just look like 7:30PM in Singapore. =)

My uncle worked as the main cheft in 1 of the restaurant in Walton-on Thames, so, most of them are staying together in their "hostel", which is a house located near to the restaurant. The boss was nice enough to allowed me to stay there, wee... Can save more on accomodation and food (uncle provide mer, he cook 1 le...),haha... Although their hostel are quite messy, but then still OK la, the people there are nice, free some more, what to complain??

The next day, which is a Tuesday, is my aunt and uncle's "off day". FYI, my aunt and uncle doesn't work at the same place. So, my uncle brought me to China Town to met my aunt. China Town is the one-and-only-place that my uncle know how to go alone in London, funny right? haha.. That day, they brought me around Picadilly Circus which is a 1 of the shopping area in London. We saw a lot of tourist along the street. There are a lot of "quite cheap" and interesting souvenir shop, food and beverages, fashion, jewelly... We also went SOHO, the red light area of London. People there are really much more open than us, those sex and gay magazine will just place there and for you to take for free, every 1 will just do their own stuffs without bothering who walk forward and take those magazine. If you do the same thing in Malaysia or Singapore, people will just stare at u d... That day we didn't buy any thing, according to my aunt's evil plan, she wants to buy it on the following Tuesday, when my uncle not around, so that he wont nag at her,haha...

The Picture tha I took at China town and around Picadilly Circus

For the next 2 days, I just went out and explore London city alone. Luckily there are lots of information available online, and I found a very useful guide show me all the way to walk from Westminster to the Trinity house. The 1st stop was Houses of Parliament, London Eye, London County Hall, The London Aquarium, St. Paul Catheral... Seriously, that 2 days was Not enough for me to explore every thing that had listed down in the guide. Because I normally will come out to the city after I had my brunch in my uncle's place and some of the place that I wan to explore, such as art gallery will close at about 6PM. So yea, that 2 days, I only explored 2/3 of the places listed in the guide. =)
