Europe Trip: 2nd stop - Olomouc, Czech Republic

After staying for a night in Vienna, we felt not as tired as the day before. The breakfast in Airo Tower Hotel was satisfying. After the breakfast, we went to Olomouc which is in Czech Republic with the bus that we had booked earlier. The bus in Europe are big, nice and comfortable.

took these pictures when we are on the way to Olomouc

took this with Ariel while we are rest half way of the journey

We saw alot of nice scenery, houses, flowers along the way. What i surprise about the journey is, there are not much high way from Vienna to Olomouc. The journey took about 4 hours, but I think it is reachable in 2 hours if the have a high way from Vienna to Olomouc. It was raining when we reached Olomouc, sien!!! But no choice, we still need to go to the office that in charge of the competition right after we checked in to our hotel/hostel to do our registration. For this 5 days 4 night in Olomouc, 5 of us are staying seperated for the rest of the members. We are staying in hostel insetad of hotel, cause I wanna pay cheaper. The room was not that satisfying because it is quite squeezy. 5 of us are supposingly staying in 2 rooms, but due to the reason that the hostel looks cripy, 5 of us squeeze in a room. Surprisingly, it is still "squeez-able".

After the registration, we met our tour guide for the 5 days in Olomouc, Katerina, which is the best tour guide ever. I think she is better than some of the full time tour guide, such as our tour guide in Bratislava, hehe. Katerina brought us to most of the nice churches in Olomouc as well as some of the historical building and monument. She explained it very well. Other than that, she also aoompany us for all of our big and small performance as well as our competition. That 5 days in Olomouc was really excited, other than competition, we still need to meet the mayor, perform in front of people from different countries, practises and socialize with other choir from different countries!

Yo!!! jump higher

Some of the food in Olomouc are quite nice, but some are not. Especially the bread that we will have for every meal, it sucks. Luckily it is not the main course. We ate lots of fried food that few days, but our throat still OK, thank GOD! Most of the meal, Chin Yuan will keep complaining: "Why it is fried har"..why this why that, no wonder we call him AUNTY YUAN,haha... The alcohol there are very cheap, but, we are not allowed to drink until our competition is over, because it will hurt our throat.

some of the food we ate in Olomouc

the weirdest bread ever, hard and sour

I like this picture very much!!

We performed twice durign that 5 days. 1st one was during the 2nd day we were in Olomouc. We performed 3 songs out of 4 songs that we use for our competition. The next day, we were invited once again to perform. That night we performed the same songs with our costum. Why are keeping 1 song? Haha, because that's our "weapon". That is a folklore from Taiwan, which is a song that not much people heard it, and it sounds nice. And the 4th day in Olomouc was our competition. We were quite panic the day before the competition especially after watching Victoria School performance that night. Their performance are good, and, they are in the same category as us, meaning that we have to compete with them..Argh!!!! Mm...what do you think about the result? Will update more during the next post. ^^

After that 5 days in Olomouc, before going to Bratislava, Katerina send us off form the hotel. She cried, and some of the choir member cried as well. No doubt, she is really a good and caring tour guide. But luckily, she gave us her MSN, at least we can still keep in touch. =)

Europe Trip: 1st stop - Vienna, Austria

So, our 1st stop is VIENNA! The capital of Austria. As What I heard from my friends, Vienna is a very beautiful city, full of nice churches and building, and, it's true!

Our 1st night is staying at Airo Tower Hotel which is not too near to the city area. But then tranpostation there is very good, that's why it's easy to go to the city area. The weather there kinda cold but it's nice.
Scenery outside of our room

After checking in to the hotel, Mr. Yong which our instructor who went to Europe for the N-th times brought us to the city area. We saw Cafe Sarcher, which is the place that created the 1st chocolate cake, St. Stephen Church, Mozart Chocolate and lots of interesting things. We saw a lot nice food as well, especially salad and hot dogs. Kah Leong, Siow Wei, Dessy, Michael and I tried the sandwitch from a shop named NORSEE. And it's nice! Althought it is a bit expensive after converting into Sing Dollar, but we still enjoy it.

After that, we went to 1 of the restaurant nearby to have our 1st dinnerin Europe, the out look of the restaurant is nice, but the food....er...so so lo. After dinner.....Practise time!!! Argh...still need to practise =.=". But we should understand that we are there for competition, so practise is a must. There are no empty room for us to practise, therefore, we practised outside the empty space of the hotel. And, it's quite embarrace to sing in front of strangers. But, it's happy that they like it, they clap after every single song we sang.... mm....shiok sendiri pulak.

Our Dinner
That night we sleep kinda early maybe because be din really sleep and rest for 20 hours and the next day we still need to travel to Olomouc. So, here are the pictures....

Europe Trip: Pre-departure

So now, it's the time to update my Europe trip. On 2nd June,9:30pm, fot those who depart from NTU, we gathered at 1 of the bus stop nearby to wait for the bus driver to pick us up. Thanks for Yin Mun and Carol for "sending me off" at bus stop 14.

The bus came a bit late, roughly 10 something. We reached Changi Airport at 11pm plus. We checked in, ate bak jang and took pictures while waiting for our flight which is at 2am.

The Tenors, but where is Chin Yuan?

Our flight are transitting at Dubai. The weather in Dubai is very hot. But, we still enjoy ourselves a lot althought we need to wait for few hours. Some of us had McDonald's there, ice-cream...bla bla bla...At the same time, we took lots of pictures.

Nice?

After waited for 4 hours is Dubai, we took our flight to Vienna. Along the way, we also took a lot of pictures from the plane.

HK-Macau Trip: Day 5

For day 5, we had a day trip in Macau before heading back to KL at 7pm. At 1st our flight should be at 5pm, but it had delay. Luckily the Air Asia informed me before lunch, so that we can request for a longer day trip from the tour guide.

Our day trip started at about 11am. At 1st, we went to a temple (temple again), and after that, the tour guide brought us to Macau's most famous church, but I forgot what's the name, haha. After that, he brought us to a shop to buy some of the Macau's local food.

Honestly, Macau is nothing much, you can go and explore all the places yourself, because the place is kinda small. We a bit regreted to go under the travel agent. Although the Macau day trip was not that satisfying, I still took a lot of pictures. =)

HK-Macau trip: Day 4

So, for day 4, early in the morning (again), we need to get ourselves prepared and took the ferry to Macau, which is the place that have about 30 casinos. For those who likes to gamble...wink wink...

For that day, is our free and easy day, which means that we will take our own sweet time and explore around the island. It's quite easy actually because Macau is a very small island. What I remember about that day is, after lunch, we walk and shop and see and carry and eat throughout the day. My leg was super tiring, but of course, it is satisfying because i got to buy a lot of stuffs. =P

The casinos are very nice especially at night when all the lights are on. There is a very nice "gold tree" and fountain at Wynns Casino. If you have time to go to Macau, don miss it.

so, here are some picture thatI took in Macau. You guys are lucky, cause I saved my Macau pictures in my pendrive... =)

HK-Macau trip: Day 3

For Day 3, we woke up kinda early....erm, like....6:30am as what i remember. Cause today we are going to "da yu san", a temple again.... This temple is a bit different, it has a big Buddha on it, and it require you to climb donno how many stair case to reach the temple. Since that I went there before, and for people lazy like me, of course, not much motive for me to go there.

The top part of "Da Yu San" Temple

But but but, I still went there....just for the sake of the vegetarian food of that temple. Haha, cause it's nice.

After that, we went for shopping, shopping and shopping! Of course, we bought a lot of stuffs. But, that's a sad incident happened. Just remember, don go "jin bao yao cai dian" that is locate in Tsim Sha Tsui!!! Don even enter to that stupid shop.

Bruce Lee

Acting cool,hehe

So, the dinner is my highlight of the day. My father's friend who is staying in hk treated us a meal. I don have the picture yet, but will update soon. So, what I ate is up to yput imagination now...What I can tell you now is, his friend spent HK3000++ for that meal... =P
Of course, that's not all the food we ate, we ate much more than that. =P

Thats all for day 3.....
